Australian producer Wave Racer is, to me, the master of the up-and-coming "future bass" genre, as depicted by this playfully romantic remix of Duke Dumont's groovy, deep house hit "The Giver (Reprise)." While the original keeps you moving with its traditional deep house beat, its repetitiveness makes the song a bit too boring for the impatient listener. But Wave Racer's added vocal samples, snaps, and chords add real color to the tune, making it a feel-good, funky song perfect for the summer. Happy June!
